Sport and exercise are important for everyone. Regular activity has a huge range of physical and mental health benefits that enable and empower us to lead healthy, happy lives.

People with bleeding disorders are often discouraged or excluded from taking part in sport, especially as children. This comes from a lack of understanding or miseducation around bleeding disorders.

Sports Day is about getting off the sidelines and getting involved. It’s also whatever you want it to be. Whether it’s doing something you love or trying something you love, the important thing is you’re up and moving.

About us

The Haemophilia Society is the only UK-wide charity for everyone with a bleeding disorder.

One in 2,000 people in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder. Through information, events and advocacy, we work to empower them to manage their condition effectively - with access to the best possible treatment and a true community to support them.

We’ve also long campaigned for justice, recognition and compensation for people infected and affected by contaminated blood and blood products – widely recognised as the worst treatment disaster in the history of the NHS.
