Supporting Guide Dogs

Organised by Guide Dogs

Our guide dogs give people with sight loss the confidence to get out and about safely, providing life-changing practical support every day. Just £8 can support a working guide dog partnership for a day.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Every day 250 more people join the 2 million already living with sight loss and this number is set to double by 2050. When someone loses their sight, we're here to make sure they don't lose their freedom as well.

Our guide dogs give people with sight loss the confidence to get out and about safely, providing life-changing practical support every day. There is no minimum age for a guide dog, so our guide dogs also give young people the confidence to get out and about safely. In 2020 our youngest guide dog owner was 14 and our oldest was 97.
