Story
Welcome to the fundraising page for the Aspire Anacondas!! Six hot babes who forgot there was a ferry and instead signed up to swim the English Channel!!
Come July, we're swimming in aid of Aspire, a national charity providing practical support to those who have been paralysed by a spinal cord injury. A spinal cord injury can happen to anyone, at any time, and no one is prepared for how this will change their life. Aspire supports 50,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK . The work that Aspire does is invaluable to help those with spinal injury to lead fulfilled and independent lives in their homes, with their families, and in leisure time. This is a brilliant charity, whose work we are thrilled to be able to support!
The swim itself is a relay covering the full distance shore to shore! This is 21 miles as the crow flies, although is likely to be much more once strong tides and rough water have a say! This swim must be done in very very cold water, subject to high winds and amongst the jellyfish!
Oh, and we aren't allowed a wetsuit!
Any donations, big or small, would be hugely appreciated.
