Story
In January 2026, the BBUK team - Jon Perdoni, Rachel Johnson, Matt Phillips and Stella Giatrakou - are taking on one of the toughest fundraising challenges out there: the Arctic Challenge, set deep in Swedish Lapland where temperatures can fall to –35°C and daylight lasts only a few hours each day.
Across four demanding days, we’ll complete a 35km dog-sled race, a 20km Arctic hike, and a series of endurance tasks including orienteering, ice fishing and fire-lighting — all to raise vital funds for the National Literacy Trust, a charity working to improve literacy for children and families across the UK.
Literacy can change the trajectory of a child’s life. Your donation helps the National Literacy Trust reach more communities, provide books and literacy support, and break cycles of disadvantage.
Every contribution directly supports the fight against low literacy.
Thank you for helping us take on the challenge — and helping change lives 🙏📚❄️
