Story
Age Scotland is the Scottish charity for older people. We've witnessed firsthand the passion and commitment Age Scotland has for improving the lives of older people in Scotland.
At the end of May, three colleagues from Heriot-Watt's Global Research Instieute in Health and Care Technologies will be taking part in Age Scotland's Kelpie climb and abseil to support their ongoing fundraising efforts.
£500 would cover the cost of 100 phone calls to Age Scotland's friendship line, a free helpline providing impartial and confidential information to older people, their carers and families.
"This service gave me hope. They listen to you, and they don't judge you. The calls always make me feel less alone", Helen, helpline caller.
Funding is vital as Age Scotland strives to improve lives via their helpline, as well as supporting older people’s groups, promoting age and dementia-friendly communities, delivering wellbeing programmes, and campaigning on behalf of older people.
Any donation will directly support this work and more. Thank you.
