When Lee was tragically taken from us on December 12th 2010 aged 24, we lost a son, a brother, a nephew, a cousin and our best friend.
He had lived with epilepsy since he was 9, although very few people knew - it was Lee's choice not to burden others with his problem. Throughout his life he enjoyed every minute, in school and university and during his short career. He lived for his sport, especially football and cricket, and was a fanatical Leeds United fan, as well as having played at their Centre of Excellence for 4 years from the age of 8.
Lee went to bed on Dec 11th and never woke up - a tragic loss of life and a life changing event for us all.
None of us were aware that Epilepsy can kill, and we all desperately need to raise awareness of this terrible condition before more young lives are lost to Sudep (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).
Every penny donated on our page will go towards medical research into the causes of epilepsy, what causes Sudep, and eventually a cure.
