In 2026, we’re proud to continue the Norfolk Superhero Fund. In partnership with the Norfolk Community Foundation, we're helping children across Norfolk get active and thrive.

Why We’re Doing This

Every year, the Norfolk Superhero quadrathlon brings together dozens of teams at Burnham Overy Staithe to push themselves physically and raise vital funds. To date, the Challenge has raised over £1.34 million for causes right here in Norfolk.

In 2026, we’re doing it again — and your support matters more than ever.

In Norfolk, 1 in 5 children leave primary school obese, 8% have a mental health need, and 1 in 3 don’t know how to swim. We want to change that by giving every child the chance to live a healthier, more active life.

This is about creating opportunities for young people across Norfolk to be active, connect with others, and feel part of their community.

What the Fund Will Support

The Norfolk Superhero Fund channels proceeds from the Challenge directly into projects across the county — helping children who face barriers to taking part in sport or physical activity.

With help from the Norfolk Community Foundation, the fund’s first grants were awarded in autumn 2025. It supported 25 community projects, reaching every district in the county — from accessible bikes and youth-led fitness sessions, to outdoor adventure programmes and activities for SEND children to benefit from nature.

Together, we can make an even bigger impact in 2026.

How It Works & Who Decides

Each year, a panel made up of Superheroes reviews applications and awards grants to Norfolk-based charities best placed to help young people get active — wherever they live, from bustling towns to rural villages.

Together with the Norfolk Community Foundation, the Challenge has set an ambitious goal to make a lasting difference to the health and wellbeing of local children and young people.

N.B. Please ONLY set up your fundraising page through this link. Over the last few years, some teams have set their pages up separately and it has proved quite complicated to track their fundraising.
