Story
On 26th April 2026, the Calvert Devon team will be running the London Marathon — one of the world’s biggest and most prestigious running events! These dedicated runners have been training hard to cross the famous finish line while raising vital funds to support the amazing guests who visit our centre each year.
We are Calvert Devon, a registered charity and outdoor activity centre where adventure has no limits. Since 1996, we’ve welcomed children, adults, families, groups, and schools with physical, behavioural, sensory, and learning disabilities, making us the only centre of this kind in the South of England.
Situated on the edge of Wistlandpound Reservoir amid beautiful pine forests and Devon’s Exmoor National Park, our fully accessible centre offers expert, person-centred support, specialist equipment, and adaptive accommodation. Proudly AHEOC Gold Standard certified, our inclusive activities—like zipwiring, climbing, and paddling—are led by experienced instructors who tailor every experience to suit a wide range of abilities.
Thanks to the efforts of our marathon team and generous donors, we can continue offering fully accessible adventure breaks that build confidence, independence, and unforgettable memories.
If you’d like to support our runners, you can sponsor an individual or donate to the team as a whole using the links provided. Every contribution helps us make adventure possible for everyone.
We’re incredibly grateful to our marathon team and all supporters—thank you for helping us change lives, one step at a time!
