Weʼre raising £5,000 to help fund life-saving equipment and a new vehicle for the Rutland & Leicestershire Army Responder Scheme.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Since August 2015 our scheme as been set up here in Rutland, the team are made up from Soldiers based here within the county.
East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) provide the training and a small car and we volunteer our time in booking on to a six hour shift every day after our normal day at work.
During our shifts we are dispatched to emergency calls covering 1 day old to end of life, and the calls can be: diabetic emergencies, difficulties in breathing, asthmatic, falls, sepsis, cardiac arrest and the list goes on.
In the past 2 Year’s we have covered 6500 hours, 3200 emergency calls ( including 46 cardiac arrests) and covered 47000 miles. There are a number of civilian schemes like this within the East Midlands however, the Army Responders has just been recognised as the most successful scheme within the East Midlands (hours on call, jobs attended, patients treated etc) and also came runners up in this years Heroes of Leicester Awards.
Although our scheme is supported by EMAS we are a charity based scheme that relies heavily on public donations and sponsors.
We have just been given authority and currently arranging a huge upgrade to the scheme allowing us to progress to a better vehicle capable of blue lights and enhanced training allowing us to be utilised even more so ie Road Traffic Collisions.
In order to progress we need to offset the costs of running a Fast Response Vehicle (FRV), purchase equipment and uniform including PPE, also offset the training costs of our blue light drivers; we are looking at raising £5K minmum per .
