Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Code4000 are a not for profit organisation who deliver computer programming training in UK prisons. They aim to improve the life-chances of their learners and support them into employment in the tech sector upon release from jail. By doing so, they help them choose lives free from crime. By teaching tech, they are changing lives and helping to reduce re-offending in the United Kingdom.
Code4000 receive their core funding from the Ministry of Justice as well as charitable organisations. However, smaller gifts from community groups and individuals can play a huge part in supporting their operations. For example:
£10 will pay for travel expenses so a learner to attend a job interview
£20 could purchase a text book for a learner keen to further their own learning
£50 would support a learner to attend a Code4000 community hub for a whole month
By donating to the Code4000 Learner Support campaign, you are not just helping improve the life chances of their learners, you are also helping to reduce re-offending in the UK.
