The stigmatization of Autism has always been an issue in rural parts of the world. Ignorance and unfamiliarity of the Autism spectrum condition often results in the judgement and castration of those born with these disorders from family units and larger communities
To help raise awareness about Autism and to encourage a better world, a feature film titled, “Outlier: the life and times of Donatus Awudu”, has been created by Jimmy Eko-Acquah and directed by Philippe Morel to educate people through entertainment. The story is about how a child with autism lived life to the fullest potential despite the challenges he faced.
The producers intend to show the film in major cities to help raise funds to promote the screening of the film in the rural parts of the world.
