Hi! My name is Elena and I would love to help United Upcycling and Mobility Training (UMT) to purchase a van in order to carry out their work and keep helping those in need by collecting and delivering to disabled people in need.
I've decided to take on a huge challenge on the 8th of July 2018 called Fan Dance. This is a 24 km SAS Selection march staged across the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons, Pen Y Fan mountain. Now you might think that is not going to be hard? That I 'will be fine' ? However, these tests are meant to test me both mentally and physically. I am going to train every week and go up Pen Y Fan on different routes with my gym (Evolve Fitness). When I will finish the Fan Dance it will be my biggest achievement to date after having a baby :)).

I really want to raise money for UMT which is a Non for Profit Social Enterprise!. The work at present is being done by Paula Massey one of the Directors of the Social Enterprise. Paula is an amazing lady who puts all her heart, time and effort into UMT.
Here is what she is all about:
''We save medical aids from being taken to be dumped. We repair, refurbish and upcycle in bespoke colours and materials. Once completed we will give back to the community at a greatly reduced cost.
This will help disabled people with Dementia and Alzheimer’s by recognising their own equipment by being able to see the colour.
With the support from the local Council and a department within the NHS we are collecting on a weekly basis thousands of pounds worth of AID that can be reused.
We aim to give employment to disabled people with mental health and PTSD and ex service personnel.''
On a weekly basis Paula has to hire a van to collect the aids, to date over £600 has been paid.
''To be able to carry out our work and to help so many people we need to purchase a van of our own. This way we won’t be restricted to just a few hours, we will be able to collect and deliver to disabled people. ''
Please help us raise money to purchase a van so we don’t have to give up on what we believe in which is MAKING A DIFFERENCE in peoples lives.
