Weʼre raising £500 to Downend Flyers GFC The Girls and parents are doing the Colour Run at Blaise Castle for fundraising for the club to help support the Club.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Downend Flyers Girls football club was formed in 1992 by Sue Hiscox. We started with 6 girls who played 6 a side games at Robin Cousins Sports Centre in Shirehampton, before moving to Keynsham Leisure Centre. All training took place in Page Park in Staple Hill, where it continues to this day during the Summer Months, moving to Mangotsfield School during the Winter. In 2000 the club was successfully awarded the Football Charter Standard Award. Over the years the club has progressed with more girls interested in playing football and wanting to learn about the game. We now have 5 youth teams, Under 18's, Under 14's, Under 12's, Under 11's, Under 10's and Development team 6-8 yr. olds. We also have a ladies team who play in the South West. Please support the Club it’s great a great club with lots off community support and at the end of the day its about enjoying what sport you love to play and at Downend Flyers you have this So from the club Thank you for supporting us..
