Weʼre raising £2,000 to help our small business stay afloat during the coronavirus crisis.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Forget-Me-Not-Productions is an inclusive arts and assistive technology company run by my wife Mel and I.
Due to the the complex medical needs of our client group (all of whom are currently shielding), and the closure of schools, day centres and nursing homes; our face to face assessments and ongoing outreach work has completely come to a standstill. Even though there are plans in place to re-open schools, there will be no outreach work or sessions involving visitors for the foreseeable future. Not only does this mean zero work for us, but it impacts massively on our clients with the most profound disabilities who are missing out on opportunities for therapy, education and self-expression.
Steps we are taking to combat this
We have developed a series of FREE remote sensory stories called Once Upon a Nursery Crime, using the ethos of our MUSIC-CAN framework.
Sessions will take place on Zoom at 11.30am every Monday morning, starting 29th June 2020. Participants will explore well-known nursery rhymes and fairytales alongside Jack Sprat; a police officer trying to crack a new unsolved nursery crime each week. The sessions will be interspersed with popular songs. The stories and songs will change every week, but the sensory story structure will remain the same. The first nursery crime we will be investigating is Humpty Dumpty.
Other activities on offer
We have also developed a series of FREE homeschooling creative learning resources called Lockdown Learning through MUSIC-CAN with Forget-Me-Not-Productions.
We will post a free inclusive arts resource pack every week to help parents, guardians and pupils with their homeschooling tasks. There will be a range of activities suitable for ALN, SEN, KS1 & KS2. First up in the series (for the week beginning 22nd June) is Funtastic Fractions.
This isn’t a money making scheme - the sessions listed above are completely FREE. However, like many small businesses struggling during this pandemic, we do need to keep some income coming in to keep our business afloat, so would welcome any donations.
