£100raised of £1,000 target by 1 supporter

Weʼre raising £1,000 to help fund art therapy workshops in the name of the Karen Greville-Smith Foundation

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

Karen Greville-Smith sadly passed away on 29 April 2018. She was 62. A kind and empathetic artist who exhibited work at the Royal Academy and in galleries across London, Surrey and New York, Karen was also deeply committed to bring creativity and colour to young adults suffering from severe mental health difficulties.

Karen's Foundation will be set up by her family to honour her commitment to troubled young adults and the power that art can have within a wholistic approach to mental health treatment. This will likely take the form of funding grants for art therapists and workshops across the country. More information will be made available on the Foundation's Website (coming soon).

We would be grateful for any donations that will help us achieve our goal and honour Karen's empathy and passion for creativity to help bring a little light to the lives of those in need.

A very fitting tribute to Karen's memory. She gave so much joy and inspiration to those she taught and now we have the opportunity to support those that continue her work.
