In September, I will be walking the entire Pembrokeshire Coastal Path in 12 days, along with some equally crazy team members, to raise money for the Bluestone Foundation, which is the charitable arm of Bluestone National Park Resort.
The Bluestone Foundation was set up in 2010, and aims to help various charities, groups, and projects in Pembrokeshire, including PATCH, Pembrokeshire People First, and the Hawthorn Project.
As many of you know, my son has autism, and was diagnosed last year. What many of you don't know was how much of a fight we had to get him the diagnosis, and the support he needed.
As many of you also know, I suffer from anxiety, but again, what you may not know is that this was triggered by the unrelenting battles I had to try and get my beautiful son the diagnosis and support he required.
The support I have had from many staff members at Bluestone has been incredible. From practical help with paperwork, and rearranging shifts so I could attend appointments and meetings, to emotional support such as being a shoulder to cry on, and sitting with me through a panic attack, the list goes on.
So this is my way of saying thank you to them!
