Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Mike and Becky have worked with friends in Kimilili, Western Kenya since 2009, including an extended period living in the rural area of that beautiful country. During this time we have been asked to support various people who are sick, dying or very poor, and as a rule we've channelled support through the general Dreamland Hospital needy patient pot. To support this please follow this link and select IcFEM Dreamland Mission Hospital on the form..... http://www.icfem-mission.org/donate/.
This isn't appropriate for every need, and so we want to ensure that we keep a fund for others who urgently need a little extra help but outside the normal remit of the normal work of Dreamland Mission Hospital. We would like to highlight this page is our personal fundraising page for personal friends.
A good example of this is Claire. Claire was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. Through friends and family her chemo was paid for and it gave her two precious extra years with her kids. Claire sadly died in May 2018. We would now like to support her children this will cost approximately £1,000 a year.
Other examples are a girl who needed urgent bowel surgery, and a friend who needs money for IVF. If the services are available through IcFEM Mission we will re-direct funds to there, if not we will use the money to pay fees direct to other hospitals and schools etc.
Many thanks for your support.
Again, we want to highlight that if you wish to support the hospital directly please go to http://www.icfem-mission.org/donate/ and ensure you put IcFEM Dreamland Mission Hospital on the form.
