World Cup fans have been criticised as rowdy celebrations after England 's quarter final win over Sweden saw revellers badly damage an ambulance by jumping up and down on top of it in the street.
The emergency vehicle, which was parked near to London's Borough Market while a London Ambulance Officer attended a call nearby, has now had to be taken off the road after the crowd took it in turns to mount the bonnet.
Pictures taken yesterday show several revellers posing for photographs on top of the ambulance, which clearly has a badly smashed windscreen and an empty beer can on the roof.
London Ambulance tweeted last night: "We're delighted with the result, but this has put a big dampener on the celebrations for us: while our officer attended a call nearby, this car was damaged in Borough High Street during the celebrations after the game - it's now off the road to be repaired."
All funds raised will go to London Ambulance to help aleviate costs involved in fixing this unnecessary damage.
