    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Hello, from a young age I have been very interested in a career in aviation. As soon as I turned 13 I joined the Air Training Corps (Air Cadets), which has helped me massively and has given me a real taste of flight. After 4 years within the organisation I am now a Sergeant, looking at Flight Sergeant. I am head of our flight simulator team. I teach cadets on our simulator in readiness for their wings syllabus, which so far seems to be a great success and has great feedback.

Last year I also visited Terminal 5 in Heathrow Airport to attend a pilot seminar, which widened my existing knowledge of my career path. However, since then as one path seems to open a significant amount more seem to close.

This year I have also obtained my GCSE qualifications, which were worked hard for, choosing the subjects I thought would aid me in my career path. I'm glad to say I passed all of them, at grade B minimum, with flying colours. Now I'm looking ahead and doing my A-levels in further preparation to become a pilot, hopefully.

Now I'm 17 and a cadet programme with an airline has opened. As I was reading the credentials I could provide everything, except for fees in excess of £100,000! Why should someone with more money obtain an aviation career over me? Everyone should have the same opportunity to pursue a career they choose, we all have to start somewhere but no one starts with £100,000+! I haven't given up, please help me by donating £1 or whatever you can afford.

    Thanks :),
