Weʼre raising £10,000 to Help the people of Mamutse Village in Wedza, Zimbabwe buy a tractor after losing ALL there cattle to a tick-borne disease Theileriosis
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Over the last few months the villagers in areas surrounding Garaba Growth point in Wedza in Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe have lost ALL their cattle to an otherwise very avoidable tick-borne disease called Theileriosis. Like all the other villagers in the area my inlaws lost all 14 of there cattle which they relied on for milk, meat and to till the land. With the rainy season due to start in a few months time in October the whole area have nothing absolutely nothing to plough the land,
it is for this cause that I am setting up this crowdfunding page to buy a tractor that can plough the fields for this entire area,
The national press have turned a blind eye to this devastating epidemic focussing on the elections. All the political parties have held campaign rallies in the area, yet noone seems to care for these poor communities whose very survival depended on there cattle.

About the fundraiser
I have heard of the plight of a rural community in Wedza devastated by the loss of ALL there cattle. My in laws owned 14 and are left with none. Knowing what those cattle meant to my 92 year old I can only imagine impact this has had on the community.
