Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Working at NCS the young people have devoted their time to helping to develop this amazing project, any funding to help keep this place open and resources is greatly appreciated.
Serenity Farm came about after its founder (Lucy Wheeler) was working with young adults in a specialist college, when planning transition from leaving college some students were looking for opportunities to work with horses and other animals and there were just no services available in this area.
Lucy had also become interested in the therapeutic benefits or working with horses, her PAT (Pets as Therapy) dog Archie had started attending college on a daily basis and had a very positive impact on everyone (even attending meetings and reviews!)
Lucy then took an interest in Equine Facilitated Learning and took some courses with the EQA which further showed the massive and life-changing effects that horses had particularly for people with autism.
Serenity Farm offers day opportunities for people with additional needs and challenges to explore their skills working with animals and nature in an environment that welcomes all and celebrates all our uniqueness’s.
