i work with disabled people and have someone that has been struggling to get a well needed stairlift. He has tried all the usual channnels such as council, grants etc but has drawn a blank. He cant afford a stairlift as all his money goes on his care with not a penny left for anything else. He had an accident at work and resulted in his leg being amputated right up to the hip.
His only toilet and washing facilities are upstairs and has to shuffle up and down on his bum the stairs each time he needs to use those facilities. This has caused problems with his remaining hip and knee and now needs op on both. This isnt right and he should be left like this.
So i decided to try and see what i could. I rang several companies asking for best quotes and help. Due to the complexity off his stairs it will cost £4500. Including installation and equipment.
If we could change his life forever that would be amazing. if there is anything uou can do to share, donate, help it would be more than appreciated.
thank you for your time xx

I don't know the guy, but his situation sounds tough, so I'll get the ball rolling with a small donation. You have to start somewhere!
