Story

As we are the most active Watch within the West Midlands and we are passionate about making a difference in our community the KNW were the main lead for the creation of the Big Top Neighbourhood Road Show, which sadly became inactive due to funding issues. Our committee and members who were involved with the Road Show remit area are keen and would like us to carry on with the good work we did on the Road Show.

The volunteers engaged with thousands, of people who lived and visited Birmingham between 2012 and 2016. We promote the Police Community Work / Anti-bulling /Community cohesion / Gun and Knife Crime / Gang Crime / wellbeing and Neighbourhood Watch in a fun, carefree way. We also supported many organisations with their goals this included: children and young people, elderly people, disabled people, women, different faith groups and black minority ethnic (BME) communities.

What we need to have is a truly independent Road Show run by Neighbourhood Watch members who truly care about making a difference in the community of Birmingham/ West Midlands and the UK. Through our network and Local and National partners we can promote the New Neighbourhood Watch Road Show which will be self-sustainable in years to come. We would also like to obtain some Bouncy Castle’s which would generate some regular income for the group. What we Need!

• Exhibition Van / Storage Trailer / Costumes Sgt Koala / NW Dog / Naughty Raccoon / DJ Speakers / Mix / Laptop / PA System / Lights / Generator / Bouncy Castles / Fold away Tables / Fold away Chairs / Insurance / Printing Logo’s and Leaflets Events and Funders etc.

After this pilot scheme is being running and successful we intend to launch a Roadshow in every 45 territorial police areas in the UK to create a wider and bigger community network to enhance community empathy / cohesion and community spirit. KNW website http://knwatch.wordpress.com/

If the general Public or members of the Neighbourhood Watch gave just £2 each we would have many than enough to bring the country and the communities together, there are many diverse cultures, But only one Community! Neighbourhood Watch - http://www.ourwatch.org.uk/

Please give as much as you can Thank You
