Children, are a blessing from Allah, regardless of status, religion, colour or gender

Assalaam alai kum Brothers and Sisters, I hope this finds you in good health,

My name is Mohammed Choudhury, I am 27 years old and live in London. I work as a Civil Engineer and am training to become a chartered Civil Engineer. This year I have decided to take on a challenge to support the orphans in Bangladesh. Before I proceed any further, I would just like to clarify, “Charity is not about digging in your pockets and making the largest donation you can or enlisting yourself on a direct debit to make monthly payments” but rather the bare the minimum I ask you all is for another form of Charity … awareness. If you can all make yourselves-aware of the issues affecting Bangladesh, affecting these orphans and affecting these young human beings without parents and to make matters worse to be growing up in a nation lacking wealth, education and basic sanitary facilities, I would be ever so grateful.

I have been grateful enough in acquiring and inheriting a small plot of land on which I intend to build a small orphanage. I will transfer my everyday skills to minimise cost and maximise efficiency and value for these orphans. I will be subsidising 45% of the funds for the completion of this project.

There were initially 3 phases to this project as described below:

• Phase 1 – Acquire and Sign of 1 acre of Land (Golapgonj, Sylhet) (Completed)

• Phase 2 –Raise Funds to design and build orphanage

• Phase 3 – Sign off and Enlist Orphans into the Orphanage

Alhamdulillah Phase 1 is complete; we are currently in Phase 2. I am trying to raise £11,000.00 to design and build an orphanage. This will be a simple reinforced concrete construction, two floor structure with corrugated tin roofing. Electrical power will be supplied from the main grid along with gas and foul water sewerage egress. The aim is to securely and safely house and sleep 100 orphans (50 boys and 50 girls) and at least 4 members of staff. The long term plan is to feed the occupants 3 meals a day and provide these children with basic education skills so they are equipped with adequate tools to be able to gain employment in the near future. I plan to go Bangladesh in December 2018 to make an initial commencement on the project, and would be grateful if you could help with whatever Allah has given you. This isn’t the sort of charity were “a one off meal is provided” or where “a one of cash sum is given to poor families” but rather a long term facility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the orphans. Brothers and Sisters, I’m asking from the depths of my heart to you guys to contribute whatever you can, £1.00, £5.00 or whatever and if you can’t give anything, then not to worry but to pass the message on but most importantly to make Duah for us, for this project and of course the orphans in need of help.
