Weʼre raising £6,600 to support families in Northamptonshire who have a child with additional needs and their siblings, by providing social and leisure activities.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
18yrs ago we set up The Daisy Chain Club to support local families who have a child with a disability. As a parent of 4, it was very difficult to access groups with 2 special needs children and their siblings without people starring and making comments. The outcome was that we started a group to support other families in the same situation as us...there are now over 400 families registered with us.
We arrange social and leisure sessions for families to have the chance to get together in safe and happy environments where they know that others will understand. These sessions used to run monthly, however due to funding cuts we have had to reduce the events and support we can offer to families.
We still manage to do some visits to indoor play centres, boost, circus and wicksteed park to name a few. Some of these are exclusive hire which also costs more, and we try to keep the price as low as we can.
We have chosen the £6600 mark as that is how many steps there are in a 5k run that a few parents are taking part in this summer to try to raise some funds towards running these sessions again.
