Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Our chosen Charity for 2018/2019 is Project Linus UK.
During the course of 2018/2019 we would like to run as many sewing events as we can in order to make 100 quilts. This is a big undertaking but this is such a worthy cause that we know we can do it!
I will be running several Project Linus Days starting on Saturday 7th April
During these sessions volunteers will come together and sew quilts. These will, in turn, be given to children at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. What a wonderful thing to give them something that has been made with love that will give them comfort at such a difficult time in their lives.
Other events planned will involve working with Pre schools, Primary and Secondary schools and within the community running events in Hobbycraft stores in Wednesfield and Stafford.
To help support these events financially we would love to offer you the opportunity to sponsor a quilt. We are unable to add any tags to the quilts but as a thank you we will send a letter with each quilt so the recipient knows who sponsored and made their quilt. We will also name you on our social media platforms and thank you in our blog.
