Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
2018 marks 100 years since the end of the Great War.
As part of Ketterings marking of this centenary we are hoping to build an, above ground, replica of a WW1 trench system. This would be used, initially, to allow the residents of the town to gain a sense of the conditions their ancestors had to endure, and subsequently, it will be designed to be transportable allowing it to be used at schools around the county. In addition to this we hope to produce a field of poppies, produced by local school children, to compliment the display.
Over 800 individuals from the district of Kettering gave their lives during this conflict and we feel it is important that their sacrifice is never forgotten.

About the fundraiser
Kettering, Northamptonshire, UK
Hi, we're just a group of locals who'd like to see our small town thrive again. One way to do this is to help create a stronger sense of community. After a successful town Festival, celebrating what's new, we should also honour our past and those that allowed us to be here today
