Tips to help you day to day:
Take a break from your phone
It can be really easy to fall into the trap of ‘doom scrolling’ on social media and news outlets. Make sure to take a break from your phone, or mute notifications, to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Catch up with friends
Distract your mind and relax by catching up with a friend or loved one. Discussing big issues with friends can be a great way to learn more about the situation and gain perspective.
Check your sources
Sadly false news is often circulated on social media, using out of date videos and imagery. Before you consume media make sure you consider how trustworthy the source is. The BBC, for example, is a news outlet you can trust.
