How we shortlist

We receive thousands of nominations every year, and every single one is read by our team. To help us choose the finalists for the 2025 JustGiving Awards, we look for stories that stand out and reflect the spirit of what the awards are all about – impact, inspiration and heart.

Here’s what we consider when shortlisting:

  • Impact: What difference did the fundraiser(s) make – for the cause, the community or others around them?
  • Storytelling: Is there a personal or powerful story behind the fundraiser that others might connect with?
  • Creativity or commitment: Did they do something unique, overcome challenges, or go the extra mile?
  • Inspiration: Could this story encourage more people to start fundraising themselves?

We’re not looking for the biggest totals. We’re looking for people who’ve made a meaningful difference.

FAQs

Got questions? You’re in luck, because we’ve got the answers.

The 2025 JustGiving Awards are all about giving back to fundraising heroes smashing it for the causes they care about most. It’s our way of celebrating impact, kindness and inspiring the next generation of giving.

In previous years, our awards have celebrated exceptional individuals and teams through categories such as Young Fundraiser of the Year, Team Fundraiser of the Year, Creative Fundraiser of the Year, and Endurance Fundraiser of the Year.

This year, we’ve made nominating easier than ever. We’re starting with your stories — the most powerful, moving, and inspiring fundraising journeys. All you need to do is tell us who they are, the link to their JustGiving page and why they inspire you.

Nominations open on Monday 16th June 2025.

We’re looking for incredible people who’ve gone above and beyond to raise money on JustGiving. People making change and inspiring others to make a difference to inspire the next generation.

You can nominate anyone who has used JustGiving to raise money for a charity or personal cause in the last 18 months.

Yes, don’t by shy – if you’ve got a story that can inspire others, we’d love to hear it.

Nominations close on 6th July 2025.
