Rob Burrow

Former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in December 2019. Rob continued to fight, becoming a powerful advocate for MND awareness and research.

Rob and his family campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and funds to support other families living with MND, raising more than £11 million on JustGiving for the MND Association and the Leeds Hospital Charity.

Taking in some of Leeds’ most scenic countryside and outer suburbs, the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon is a fitting tribute to the city that launched Rob’s career and which he called home.
