Now that the Olympics are over, London can turn its attention to the only rodent-based racing event of the summer - City Ferret Racing!
Please take a look at our diverse team of competing ferrets below and place a bet on your favourite - who do you think is the Usain Bolt of the Ferret world?
It's exactly as it sounds - we will be racing ferrets in the square mile from 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm on 14 September 2012 on the forecourt of the London Underwriting Centre at DAC Beachcroft’s Minster Court office. Doors will open at 12.30pm and we urge you to arrive as close to this time as possible. The ferrets are being provided by the Hants and Berks Ferret Club, who work for the protection of domestic and working ferrets. The ferrets will race, in a tournament format, through a series of runs, negotiating hazards as they go.
The winning ferret is the first to get all four paws out of the run. As your company has sponsored a ferret, we are inviting you to place a £5 "bet" on either your or your competitor's ferret (if you think they are in better form). Please do NOT add gift aid when placing a "bet". If you back the winning ferret you will be automatically entered into a prize draw for a champagne prize to spray around the podium.
Remember all proceeds are being raised for our nominated charity, The Prince's Trust.
