Recently, our best friend Jacob lost his dad Chris after a long battle with cancer. Chris was an amazing man and we were all so privileged to know him and be able to hear some of his amazing stories and share his good sense of humor (and his love of fancy dress!)
In honor of Chris' memory, and to show solidarity and support for our bestie Jacob, nine of us will be running the Basingstoke 10k in October. That's 9 people that would typically be found at the pub, at all you can eat buffets or taking naps.
We will be raising funds for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice where Chris spent some time and they looked after the family.
The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides respite and palliative care to adults suffering from life-limiting illness who live in Andover and its surrounding villages or who have a connection with the area, together with comfort and support for their families, friends and carers.We are hugely reliant on voluntary donations to maintain the exceptionally high standard of services and care we provide. Put simply, if we don't support the Hospice, it won't be there to help when it is needed.
