It would have been Kai's 8th Birthday this year. He loved Halloween last year, dressing up at Clark Kent, going door to door and having people give him bells and toys and sensory things.

So several of us are walking the Halloween Walk this year. For him. And for his Mum, Elly. So she feels less alone, in an incredibly heartbreaking time.

We're raising funds for the Mikaere Foundation, because they fund research into Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia (NKH) - a rare and terminal metabolic disorder. It's the disorder Kai had, and died from. If there had been more funding, perhaps he wouldn't have died.
