SEPSIS, also known as blood poisoning, is the reaction to an infection in which the body attacks its own organs and tissues.
Sepsis kills 44,000 people a year and affects 260,000.
EARLIER IDENTIFICATION AND TREATMENT ACROSS THE UK WOULD SAVE
14,000 lives and result in 400,000 fewer days in hospital per year, saving the economy as much as £2.8 billion annually. To do this we need funding and your support.
