£10raised of £3,000 target by 1 supporter

Weʼre raising £3,000 to Help Fund Ed Copson's New Motorcycle.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

As many of you will know, our good friend Ed Copson hasnt had such a good time recently.

Ed was diagnosed with Hereditary Spherocytosis when he was 18. What this means is that the red blood cells are produced in an odd shape and are killed off too soon by his body.

Whilst Ed was on holiday recently his blood count dropped to 45, when the average persons blood count is supposed to be 120 - 150. It took 7 blood transfusions to get his blood count to 75, this concerned the doctors and they believe that something else is wrong which now means Ed will have to have a bone marrow biopsy.

After 5 nights in hospital Ed was sent home but due to the fact he was still very weak, fatigued and feeling extremely dizzy he went to stay with family to recover. The recovery was slow but each day he felt better than the last.

On Saturday 4th August Ed went back home to pick up some clothes and a few other items and discovered thar his bike has been stolen.

Ed is one of the greatest people i have ever had the pleasure of meeting and has touched so many peoples lives with his great sense of humour and beeming smile. Once i heard about this i immeadiatly wanted to do something to help him get back on his feet and im sure you do too.

The donations will be going directly to Ed and will provide three things; it will provide Ed the opportunity to pay off his current Bike, It will also provide him the chance to get himself a new one so he can continue getting to work which is vital and most importantly it will give him the chance to stop worrying about how he will fund a new Bike which means he can rest up properly.
