Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I'm a carer for my mother who suffers from chronic Multiple Sclerosis from North Wales, UK who is flying out at the end of July for my first respite in a decade to visit my girlfriend and attend Power Morphicon in California.
Unfortunately while I was preparing my passport this week I noticed at some point over the last 5 years I've had it (and never been able to use it as anything but ID) it has unfortunately gathered a few knocks namely some bad creases on the ID page and some staining on other pages.
Due to fears my potentially "damaged" passport may ruin my respite and first ever flight I am rushing a 1 Week Fast Track passport next week. I'm fronting all the cost myself because obviously it'd be too much to expect people to front the money now but the cost of the passport is £142 plus £9.50 to check my form before I submit it. This obviously is a dent in my travel money for while I'm in America (JustGiving also takes fees so have accounted for that)
I have started this JustGiving page at the insistence of my friends. I understand relying on the kindness of strangers is a big ask but alas currently this is my only avenue.
Thanks for looking and hopefully helping out!
