p>The Westminster Challenge was created in 2006 to engage Members of Parliament in the work of UK charities and to fundraise on their behalf.  The organisation will act as a link between the political and charitable worlds, promoting the work of each with the other and the general public.

Supporting the Work of UK Charities
The work of The Westminster Challenge will support three main charities until the end of 2007 - Cancer Research UK (Reg Charity No 1089464), The Children’s Society (Reg Charity No 221124) and Crimestoppers (Reg Charity No 1108687),

The Westminster Arctic Challenge
In February 2007, a cross-party team of Members of Parliament will travel across the Arctic wilderness by husky dog sled.  The team will travel through Finland, Sweden and Norway.  Accompanied by senior representatives from each of the three charities, an ITN film crew, Guardian journalist and celebrity TV chef, the team will have to work together and with their dogs, to make it through this challenge of a lifetime.
