Hey everyone!
This is our team page, so if anyone wants to donate to us as a team (i.e any businesses/any money we make as a team etc) then this is the page for that!
In August 2012 25 students will be heading up the hardest route of Mount Kilimanjaro. The reason we're doing it, is to raise £60,000 for a water project in Kenya so that villagers can drink clean water! The trek will be extremely physically and mentally demanding and we're aiming to reach the very peak in just under a week. We are taking the hardest route so it's as challenging as possible! Over the next year, we'll be running many other fundraising events, such as a half marathon, cake sales, nights out and auctioning off our boys (so pick a favourite now and start saving....haha!) PLEASE if you can spare any money, even a pound and avoid visiting the muffin counter at work for a day, we would be extremely grateful. It is for an excellent cause and organising and partaking in the trek is going to be extremely difficult, so please help make it worth it! Visit www.digdeep.org.uk to see the work the charity do.Dig Deep focuses on delivering renewable energy projects to provide water, cooking gas and electricity to deprived communities in Kenya. It seems a long way away, but these people are desperate and the sooner we can hit our target, the sooner we can start helping them.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Love, the Sheffield Uni team x
