How to talk about your fundraising

Whether you’re fundraising in person or sharing your page online, here’s how to promote your cause.

Start fundraising

Who

Identify who you’re asking to donate.

You can reach out to your…

  • Family
  • Friends
  • Work colleagues
  • Your local community

How

Sharing your fundraising page with as many people as possible, both online and in person, will help you reach your target.

When

OftenRegularly post updates reminding people to donate.

With a sense of urgency: Give people a reason to sponsor you there and then.

Perfect timing: Consider posting and reaching out to people in the evening or at the end of the month. That’s when we see the most donations come in.

Sharing your page online

Using social media is a great way to contact potential donors you might not be able to reach in person, in just a few clicks!
