London Marathon FAQs

Sunday 26 April 2026.

There are a few routes: the public ballot, charity places, Good for Age, and Championship categories (eligibility varies). If the ballot didn’t go your way, charity places are still available, then you can set up your JustGiving Fundraising Page to raise money for a cause you care about.

No – JustGiving is the fundraising platform runners use after securing an entry.

Absolutely. Connect Strava or Fitbit in a couple of clicks from your page; your activities will auto‑post to your supporters. This keeps your story alive and typically helps increase donations

No – you don’t have to use Enthuse to fundraise for the London Marathon. While Enthuse is the official fundraising platform for London Marathon Events, you are completely free to fundraise on JustGiving if you prefer.

JustGiving remains the most popular platform used by London Marathon runners, with thousands choosing it each year because of features like fitness‑app integration, strong social‑sharing tools, fundraising tips, and community support.

Many charities also actively encourage runners to use JustGiving because it connects easily to their campaigns and reporting tools. If you’ve secured your place – via ballot, charity, or otherwise – you can set up your JustGiving page and start fundraising straight away.
