Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
A colleague, Kevin Webber, who joined Nat West in 1981 was sadly diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer aged 49 and given as little as two years to live. We are delighted to say that Kevin has to date defied his earliest prognosis and is still running ultramarathons trying to inspire, raise funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.
Amongst other things, Kevin is undertaking 15 marathons in 15 days with Jeff Stelling from Sky Sports and that has inspired us to have our own London Walk in aid of Prostate Cancer by completing a marathon on the 19th May.
0ne in eight men will get Prostate Cancer, one in forty die from it so whatever we raise will help the charity eradicate this disease from being a killer, so men under 30 will never die from it and their wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, brothers, uncles and fathers will never have to go through what Kevin’s family are right now.
Kevin will be joining us on the day shortly after returning from The Marathon Des Sables ultramarathon in the Sahara as part of his commitment to do whatever he can to help others. If you feel able to give to our team to support this important cause, please do so.
