We are going to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats during the last 2 weeks of May to raise money for Maggies. 

Setting off from Land's End on Sunday 17th of May we expect to cover 1000 miles in 14 days.

Our route is planned, campsites and B&Bs largely booked and now all that remains is for us to get in as much training as possible before we set off. 75 miles in a day sounds fine but 14 of them in a row is a bit more of a daunting prospect!

Having recently got back from travelling round the world, Duncan thought there was no better way to see more of his home country than from cycling one end to the other.

Similarly, Ewan was looking for a new challenge after having completed climbing Scotland's munros.  Conversation took place ... ideas were seeded ... and grew ... and before we knew it we'd agreed to cycle LEJOG together in 2015.

The charity we have chosen to support is Maggies. Maggies provides emotional, practical and social support to people with their cancer and their family and friends. With recent studies estimating 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lives, the demand for such services is only going to get higher. As a family, we have experienced first-hand the wonderful support Maggies can provide and want to do something to make sure other families can also have this helping hand to get them through difficult times.
