Story

Over the past 14 years I have raised money for different charities, doing lots of different things... I have skydived, ran, washed cars and abseiled. I have cycled 35 miles (2 months after relearning to ride) and I have walked 15 miles (on crutches)!

This years plan is simple. 20th July 2014, I am taking part in a bike ride in Goodwood motor circuit. The 3.8 kilometres (2.4 mi)[2] circuit is situated near Chichester, West Sussex, close to the south coast of England, on the estate of Goodwood House, and completely encircles Chichester/Goodwood Airport

The bike ride day is open for a limited time (10am-4pm). I'm planning on achieving 42 laps of the 2.4 mile circuit to equate over 100 miles!

I'm hoping this will be done on my new road bike (McLaren Venge) but it hasn't yet arrived, so it may be done on my Fixie (ouch)...

I'm raising funds for Headway Portsmouth and South East Hants this year as they are in desperate need. With no government funding, the charity relies solely on public donations and goodwill.

Headway helped me to rehabilitate to where I am now. Due to this, I owe Headway a great deal!

In Nov 2000 I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury that left me needing life saving brain surgery. After coming out of a 9 day coma, I had to learn almost everything again. Headway supported me for a number of years until I was ready to go on to college in 2008.

About the charity

Headway Portsmouth and South East Hampshire provides support for people with head injury and other forms of acquired brain injury, their family members, carers and interested professionals.
