Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  Please help me raise £400 for Teenage Cancer Trust in memory of Leigh Exley.

Leigh was my friend and colleague at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. She was a fun, creative and caring person and everybody loved her. Her sensitivity, warmth and openness made me feel very welcome from the minute I started working at the playhouse.  Leigh was great at getting people together and arranging nights out and she was the one to always cheer me up with inspirational quotes if ever I was feeling down. 

Once Leigh became ill she bravely fought the cancer, going through rounds of chemo but carrying on smiling. I am ashamed to say, however, that I let my own little issues and 'busyness' get in the way of visiting her as often as I could - I always assumed Leigh would get better as she was so young - but she didn't. Leigh sadly passed away in April this year, aged just 34.

Leigh was supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust. They made her last months and days more bearable. With the blessings of Shaun and Fee, Leigh's brother and his girlfriend, I have signed up to do the Great North Run in memory of Leigh and to raise funds in her name as they helped her so much and never let her down. They were, as Fee says, 'Her angels'.
