Story

On the 7th June our beautiful Helen passed away peacefully with her family around her after a courageous and brave 2 year battle with lung cancer. She was and will always remain a loving, selfless and completely devoted mummy and wife who we will all miss more than words could ever say.

Helen handled her illness in the most admirable way, never letting it take over her entire life and constantly STILL putting her family's needs and wishes before her own throughout the entire duration of her treatment and care. This is a true testament to the amazing mummy she really was; who even now would put her family's happiness before her own.

She will be missed every single day by everyone around her, and the true light she brought to our lives. She was as warm, loving and generous as she was strong and determined - not to mention radiant. We will all hold her in our hearts for the rest of our own lives as the irreplaceable mother, wife and friend she is.

Every single penny raised through this page will go to the St Margarets' Hospice in Somerset, where Helen spent the last 10 days of her life. The care they provided for her was better than we could ever have imagined - the nurses (or "blue angels" as they really are!) went above and beyond to make every single day matter, and to give our beautiful Helen the most comfortable and peaceful ending to her life.

The hospice could not exist without donations - which make up the majority of its funding - and so we would love the opportunity to give something back to this amazing place, and provide a similar level of care and comfort to other patient's and families forced into the same cruel situation as we were.

So please dig deep and support this cause in memory of Helen, and in honour of other terminally ill patients and their families.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page.
