12 inch Haircut · 28 February 2015

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On July 6th 2015 I am taking a big step and getting 12 inches cut off of my hair, I have always had long hair and have never had it cut properly.

I am doing this because my friend Jessica-Jayde Allen was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma cancer in 2011 and on 6th July 2012 she was told that she had beaten it and was now in remission. However, on 29th November 2013 she was told that the cancer was back.

On 5th of August 2014 she had the scan to find out whether she had beaten cancer for the second time or not. On 9th of August 2014 it was confirmed, she had beaten cancer for a second time.

Throughout Jayde's battle, Teenage Cancer Trust helped her through everything so I want to give something back to them for helping a dear friend of mine. If the money I raise by doing this can help TCT help even a few other I know it will all be worth it.

The hair will also be donated to The Little Princess Trust where they will make wigs, from my hair, for young children who have sadly lost their hair.
