This is our story:
I am writing on behalf of my mother. She has been a single parent from the moment I was born. A hard working lady working sometimes two and three jobs at a time to build a better future for me.
It is now my time to return all the care she has given me.
In 2008 she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had to undergo multiple courses of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy, finally requiring a mastectomy. She recovered slowly and we had a normal life for a few years. She had almost reached 5 years of remission when she had the devastating news that her cancer had returned and had metastasised on her neck, spine, pelvis and shoulder.
Due to previous chemotherapy she has little to no veins left for treatment with conventional methods and a weak immune system. Over the last two years she has battled to survive and beat the cancer once again, trying various treatments at a huge expense and debt to try and find an alternative way to fight the disease.
She is now on daily doses of morphine and pain killers to try and alleviate the constant pain, unfortunately time is running out and she cannot stop the pain.
I still believe miracles can happen!
I am raising money for a new treatment called Dendritic Cell, it is a new therapy and not currently available in England on the NHS.
We believe with this treatment she can again beat cancer and live a normal life.
