We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

My brother-in-law Steve was diagnosed with MND at the age of 39, 6 years on the only movement he now has left is in his eyes and has lost his speech and can no longer eat. Steve has gone from a fit, healthy husband and father of 3 boys(triplets), to someone who has at times not only lost his dignity but also something that we all take for granted, his independance.Although the disease has taken so much from Steve's life, he has never let it rule his life.Steve still manages, with the aid of family, friends and his carer to get out and do the things he loves doing, whether its a concert, motoring event or even just a trip down to the river,he never lets his diability stop him. One thing Steve has never lost is his sense of humour and thankfully his ability to smile. On the day i will not only be running to raise money and awareness for sufferers like Steve but also in memory of Len Cronk,a friend who sadly lost his battle with MND last year.

Your donation and support  will be greatly appreciated and hopefully help me reach or exceed my target and make those grueling 26 miles even more worthwhile.

Thank you.

Steve has a blog that he started after he was diagnosed with MND,where he writes of his experiences of living and coping with the disease. For those of you who wish to take a look this is his web address http://steveevans35.blogspot.co.uk/
