Story

We're raising money for 'Charlie Bear for Cancer Care' at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle (reg charity no 1057213) where I'm receiving 18 sessions of chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. As I lose my hair, Hannah, my 16 year old daughter decided to join me in shaving off her fabulous curls. What a laugh we had together with the hairdresser! Amber of A Salon in Gosforth kindly donated her fees to kickstart this JustGiving page. You can see the 'afterwards' picture below where we're beautifully bald but both still smiling! Thank you all for your support, including staff and students at Marden High School (£164.95 plus £41 from a cake sale, incl. £100 sponsorship for the High Borrans Young Leadership Award ) and our good friend Ann who are donating directly to the hospital.

Best wishes, Deborah & Hannah xxx
