This is an on-going fund-raising project of mine, that I intend to run each financial year, in order to raise essential funds for Birmingham Children's Hospital.

I will make as many ad-hoc donations as I can for the tax year running 6th April 2014 - 5th April 2015 and would love your support to make the donation as big as possible every year!

It was thanks to Mr Brawn, Consultant Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon at Birmingham Children's Hospital, that we had a glimmer of hope after the diagnosis of Hannah's Pulmonary Atresia while I was still pregnant with her. 

The fantastic cardiac teams (surgical and medical) and intensive care teams at Birmingham Children's Hospital have been looking after both our daughters since 1999 with pioneering surgeries and world-class follow-up care.  Thanks to them, our daughters live normal lives day-to-day. 

Your donations will support the work of the cardiac teams but also of all the other essential work carried out at Birmingham Children's Hospital, in all departments.  There are only a handful of dedicated Children's Hospitals in the UK.  Children require a dedicated environment in order to recover from illness and trauma.  Their parents also need a lot of looking after by staff who understand what they're going through.  Parents' accommodation provides essential facilities for parents to stay close to their sick children.  All of this costs a lot of money!
